Queen Oyindamola wins MBG FUTA 2024


The grand finale of the Most Beautiful Girl in FUTA, themed “SHEVOLUTION,” was a spectacular event that took place at the FUTA Multipurpose Hall on the 14th of September, 2024. The evening began with a glamorous red carpet event at 5PM, hosted by the charismatic Empire Temmy. Guests arrived in sophisticated fashion, adding an air of elegance and excitement to the occasion.

The main event commenced at 6PM with Miracool as the host, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. The contestants, representing various states, made their introductory walk, introducing themselves to the enthusiastic audience. The participants included Adelabi Grace (Miss Edo), Esele Gift (Miss Delta), Micheal Racheal (Miss Jigawa), Dada Feranmi (Miss Ekiti), Bello Ibukunoluwa (Miss Ondo), Adeniyi Adesayo (Miss Imo), and Oni Oyindamola (Miss Sokoto).

Coach Dhrey, the mentor for the contestants, was introduced and prompted by Miracool to give a catwalk, much to the delight of the audience. He then shared insights into the contestants’ journey, highlighting their dedication and growth throughout the competition. The event featured a captivating dance choreography by the contestants, which elicited cheers and excitement from the audience. Following this, the judges were introduced: 

That Ajibola Girl, Mhannie King and Queen Hope, all seasoned and experienced in the modeling industry. Their profiles were presented by the host, emphasizing their expertise and credibility. The announcement of the Top Models was a significant moment , followed by the introduction of the event sponsors. The contestants then showcased their fashion sense by wearing dresses from one of the sponsors, THE PROWESS BRAND, in a stunning fashion display.

In a display of cultural pride, the contestants donned traditional costumes representing their respective states, looking resplendent and elegant. Somiyewo Onaaraniseoluwa, the head of administration, took the stage to explain the scoring and placement process, ensuring the audience of the fairness and transparency of the judging criteria, which included Pre-camp scores (35%), Camp scores (35%), and Judges’ scores (30%). While the event was going on, products from the headline sponsor, CHECKERS CUSTARD was shared to the audience leaving smiles on their faces.  

The evening continued with the contestants walking the runway in their evening dresses, followed by the announcement of the top five contestants.  Unfortunately, Miss Jigawa and Miss Delta were evicted at this stage. The remaining top five contestants were then asked academic and intellectual questions, which they answered impressively.


The tension heightened as the top three were announced, with Miss Ekiti sashed as the fourth runner up and Miss Ondo sashed as the third runner up. The Top Three, Miss Edo, Miss Imo, and Miss Sokoto, each delivered a speech that captivated the audience. Certificates were then presented to all the contestants, recognizing their participation and efforts, Miss Delta emerged as Miss Amity, Best Traditional outfit was awarded to Miss Delta, Miss Jigawa emerged as Miss charm, Best pet project was awarded to Miss Ekiti and Miss Edo emerged as Top model.

The climax of the event saw the announcement of the second runner-up, Miss Edo, who was crowned and sashed. The anticipation reached its peak as the host playfully prolonged the announcement of the winner. Finally, amidst cheers and excitement, Miss Sokoto, Oni Precious Oyindamola, was crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in FUTA, with Miss Imo as the first runner-up. The audience erupted in joy, marking the end of an emotional and memorable evening.

The SHEVOLUTION-themed event was a celebration of beauty, talent, and cultural heritage, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
